    Client Reviews

    • To be honest, at first I did not even think it was realistic to obtain European citizenship. Our family had not preserved any documents confirming my entitlement to an Italian passport. It is great that there are companies that know how to work with archives. They restored all my lost documents and developed an entire citizenship acquisition plan. My wife and children participated together with me as well. In the end, we all became Italian citizens even faster than we had expected. I would like to thank the company’s managers and lawyers for their conscientious work.
    • I had only a vague sense that there were Italian relatives somewhere on my mother’s side. Of course, no documents had been preserved. I applied almost at random. In the end, the specialists literally “unearthed” the whole story. Now my husband and I both hold Italian passports. We finally feel confident and protected. We are now obtaining European citizenship for our older children as well, also through the company Citipassport. They are true professionals who can be trusted.
    • For several years I postponed filing my application for Italian citizenship because I thought it was not an option for everyone. But at Citipassport they dispelled all my doubts. It turned out that very little was needed — retrieve documents from archives, have them notarized, and submit them to the proper authorities. The company’s lawyers handled all of this without my involvement. I had a personal manager who explained every step of the procedure in simple, understandable terms, without complicated jargon. Step by step, I completed the entire process and became the holder of an Italian passport, which became my pass to the European labor market.
    • What I liked most about the procedure was that the manager provided information at every stage. Every couple of weeks to a month, the manager sent updates: what had been done and what came next. I always clearly understood which stage I was at. And one more important point — I did not have to travel to Italy in person. Everything was handled remotely. When I received my Italian passport and traveled with it across the EU, I realized that I had opened up a world of new opportunities.
    • I called the company thinking, “It is unlikely anything will work out for me.” I thought that citizenship required some kind of perfect documents that I would definitely never be able to obtain. But it turned out that handling “difficult” cases is exactly their specialty. They found what I myself would not have found in ten years. The company took care of all the legal nuances, from searching for archival records to the final submission. I received my Italian passport faster than I expected, which was a very pleasant surprise. I sincerely want to thank the company for all the work they have done.
    • I contacted the company at a period in my life when I very much wanted to change my country of residence. It turned out that I had a family connection to Italy. That was enough for Citipassport to begin the citizenship acquisition process. The specialists found the necessary archival records, developed a personal strategy, and supported me literally every step of the way. That is how my husband, my son, and I became citizens of Italy and the EU. The most pleasant part is that travel across Europe now takes place without visas — simply and naturally, as if there were no borders at all. Thank you to the company for the positive changes in my family’s life.

    FAQ

The duration of processing depends directly on the chosen legal basis for obtaining citizenship, as well as on the workload of the public authorities, consulates, prefectures, and courts at the time of submission. In each specific case, the timeframes may vary.

The need for personal appearance depends on the type of procedure and the place of submission. In a number of cases, the applicant interacts with the Italian consulate in the country of residence without visiting Italy. Other procedures require personal submission of documents to Italian public authorities, for example, at a prefecture or municipality.

Yes, Italian law provides for the possibility of extending the right to citizenship to immediate family members. Depending on the legal basis used by the principal applicant, the spouse and minor children may acquire citizenship either simultaneously with the principal applicant or after the principal applicant has completed the procedure.

The certificate of no criminal record is requested from the competent authorities of the countries where the applicant resided for a certain period of time. For citizens and residents living outside Italy, such a document is usually issued at the place of permanent registration or origin. If the applicant resided in several countries, certificates from each of those countries may be required.

Standard citizenship procedures, by descent, by marriage, or on the basis of long-term residence in the country, do not require mandatory investment. Financial investment is not a basis for acquiring citizenship under the general procedure. Existing investment programs, where provided for by law, relate to other migration statuses and do not guarantee an automatic path to citizenship.

Italian citizenship grants the right to move freely, reside, work, and obtain education in any EU country without the need to obtain a visa or residence permit. In addition, an Italian citizen has voting rights in elections to the European Parliament and in municipal elections at the place of residence in other EU countries.
